Nissan is set to showcase 12 vehicles at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon, including the production version of the Nissan Fairlady Z Customized Proto concept. The automaker has not disclosed many details about the car, but it is expected to retain much of the concept's upgrades, including the new front bumper with a twin-grille design, orange and black two-tone paintwork, and eight-spoke alloy wheels. The "mass-market version" of the concept will be displayed alongside the Fairlady Z432R race car that inspired it.

In addition to the Fairlady Z, Nissan's TAS 2023 display will feature a variety of modified, racing, and production vehicles. The Roox Suite Concept, based on the Nissan Roox kei car, will have a spacious interior with an electric piano and premium seating. Other modified concepts include a workman's version of the Nissan Caravan with tool racks and portable power packs, and the Cube Refreshed & Retro concept, which updates a secondhand Cube with retro-look body parts.

The Highway Star Accessory concept, based on the Nissan Serena, and the Serena Autech customized version with a unique body kit and 18-inch alloy wheels will also be present. Two mobility concepts based on the Nissan Sakura and Ariya EVs with matching wraps will be on display, along with a modified X-Trail Autech customized with sportier looks and 10-inch alloy wheels. Lastly, the Note Aura Nismo will feature a Formula-E-inspired makeover as a future Nismo product, and the Motul Autech Z race car will be showcased, which was campaigned by Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli in the Super GT500 classes.

Although it is unclear if the Nissan Fairlady Z Customized Proto concept will retain the prominent ducktail from the concept, the automaker's varied display at the TAS 2023 promises to offer something for every automotive enthusiast.
